How Will the New Jersey Nets Be Next Season?

By Will Roper

The New Jersey Nets (possibly the New York Nets shortly) finished the 08'-09' regular year with a 34-48 year. The Nets were not a great franchise on the path or at home either since they had losing statistics no matter where they were.

The Nets had been 19th in scoring and 17th in scoring defense.

The Nets best offensive player was Devin Harris at 21.3 points per night who had an exceptional season. Harris has emerged as 1 of the best point guards in the NBA.

Harris has spent the majority of his playing days with the Dallas Mavericks - the Mavs most likely are sorry for trading him to another place since he is young and has bettered his scoring totals each season. The Nets did deal away Vince Carter - who now plays with the Orlando Magic. Carter played a huge part in helping the Nets get to the NBA Finals in 03'.

The Nets are in the midst of rebuilding their team. There happen to be a handful questions that must be answered before the Nets to turn out to be a force in the East again. Might they move to Brooklyn?

Might they get a new stadium any time in the near future? Could they sign a big time free agent (Lebron James)? This is certainly a growth phase for the Nets.

The Nets do have a couple of great, youthful athletes they can hold onto and hope one day they turn into greatly good or even exceptional athletes - Chris Douglas-Roberts, Brook Lopez, and Terrence Williams.

Not a lot is anticipated from the New Jersey Nets this season - they have one greatly nice player in Devin Harris and the rest are merely average so far. Most would predict the Nets end up winning the same quantity of games this season too, 32-35 range.

Optimistically, the Nets hold onto Devin Harris for the long haul and at the end of the day add a free agent to help the Nets to another NBA Championship. - 29967
