Buying a New Television Such As The Samsung UE46B7000

By Shelley Weeks

Buying a TV may not be so simple when you look at all the things that need to be taken into account. Many questions need to be asked before committing to a specific TV. Will you need a DVD player with that? Will you take a TV stand or a wall mount? Do you need any specific cables for your setup? And you'll need things like surge protectors, good speakers, and a remote control.

You should also be prepared for trying to install your new TV. There are a lot of wires that need hooked up. You're going to have to do a lot of reading from the manual unless you want it done professionally, which is more 'out of pocket' expense.

A very popular trend today is getting a 'big-screen' TV. Whenever you're shopping for ANY TV, whether large or small, you need to keep in mind the size of the screen in proportion to the size of the room where it will be viewed. You don't want to have to squint at one too small, or watch a blurry picture on one that's too big and sitting too close.

If you have a favorite brand, and have had for years, you need to go TV shopping with an open mind. Many new companies have put out some great new TVs, and you'll need to be open to what they have to offer if you're serious about getting the best TV for personal needs. The options are plentiful, and you can find some really great TVs with names on them you hadn't thought of a decade ago.

The two main things you need to nail down, are exactly what you need from your TV, and just how much you're willing to spend on one. Armed with the answers to these two questions, you're now ready to take a look at what's out there, without wasting time on the ones that don't fit your buying category in the first place.

IF you're shopping for a high-definition TV, then you're getting one with a higher resolution than the standard TVs. These pictures are very crisp and sharp, with great clarity and color. The high definition TV is going to give you a choice of either 'Plasma' or 'LCD'. The plasma is the more superior picture, but so is the price.

You should remember that your TV can receive it's signal in many different ways. Some depend on antenna, while others opt for cable or digital cable. Some prefer the satellite dish and the enormous amount of channels that come with it. But regardless of which type of signal you choose, your TV has to be setup for receiving it.

You can see that buying a TV like the Samsung UE46B7000 isn't as easy as you may think once you begin to see how technology has opened the doors for many options that go along with your TV. So a little research to get familiar with the different types and options is a wise move before going out to purchase. It's no longer as simple as choosing between Zenith, RCA, or Motorola. There are lots of choices, and a lot of thought that goes into buying your TV today. - 29967
