A Must Win Game in Week Two for the Indianapolis Colts

By Patty Myers

The Indianapolis Colts 2009 season started off with a close win against the Jacksonville Jaguars and a remarkable win on Monday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins, with a score of 14-12.

The Colts travel to Miami to face the Dolphins on Monday Night Football. The Dolphins, winners of the AFC East in 2008, opened up their season on a sour note with a loss in Atlanta to the Falcons and will look to rebound from their week 1 loss.

The week 2 game between the Colts and Dolphins is a Monday Night football game and the stakes are high. Miami lost its first game to the Falcons and will look to redeem itself. The defending AFC East champs would hate to open up their season with an 0-2 record.

While Joseph Addai had a down year in 08', many expect him to regain his form from 07' and be a major contributor this season. Rookie RB Donald Brown should be able to help Addai get some breathing time during games.

Gonzalez, an up and coming wide receiver whose role was seen as all the more important this season after the loss of Marvin Harrison, was injured in week one and it appears that he'll be missing the entire season due to this injury.

The Indianapolis Colts must find a way to deep with the absence of Anthony Gonzalez. Normally a team with plenty of receiving options, this isn't the case this year. Peyton Manning is the type of QB to turn a no-name WR, into a stud.

Additionally, the effectiveness of Joseph Addai still comes under question after he followed up a great 2007 season with a disappointing 2008 campaign that saw him falling short of expectations and struggling.

This will be a game that could define the Colts' path the rest of the way in 2009. With the leadership of Peyton Manning, I can't see him and the squad losing this one. He knows it's a huge test and a must win game! - 29967
