A Look At The Samsung LN32B460 LCD HDTV

By Phil Edgar

Samsung has come out with a 32-inch LN32B460 LCD HDTV that gives that cinema feeling to your own living room. It has 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, where you can see programs with original, real life clarity. The contrast ratio gives vivid displays of the richest color to that of the darkest color that this particular unit can produce. With the highest dynamic contrast ratio, you can enjoy exceptionally high quality pictures in your own home.

One of the best features of the Samsung LN32B460 LCD HDTV is its fast response time. Response time refers to the total amount of time it takes the screen to refresh each pixel from being active to inactive and vice-versa. Therefore, less amount of time means faster responds time. The 6 millisecond response time gives a flawless and smooth experience when viewing action movies and fast moving TV shows.

There are combined built-in-digital and analog tuners that will help in picking any type of broadcasts from digital, cable, or satellite services as well. A built-in QAM cable TV tuner that is able to receive decoded programming without the requirement of an extra set up box is also included.

Color of course is an imperative element to having perfect picture quality. The Samsung LN32B460 LCD HDTV wide color enhancer provides adequate color range; in fact, it is better than you may believe! It transforms the viewing mood into an amazing cinema-like experience.

The STS TruSurround HD technology audio system and two 10W hidden bottom speakers that come with the Samsung LN32B460 LCD HDTV produce a true and top-class surround sound experience with strong bass, clear dialogue and offers optimum audio quality for games.

With its all new modern technology, the Samsung LN32B460 LCD HDTV is an ENERGY STAR compliant model that helps you use less energy. This model is both electricity bill friendly as well as economically.

The Samsung LN32B460 LCD HDTV has a shiny and smooth look that will light up your living room with more passion. The odd but stylish transparent bottom bezel and neck gives your viewing area that contemporary look that is very eye catching.

Its hassle free, easy to use on-screen plug and play option helps eliminate the headache of switching between modes. As well, it gives two components and a place for a PC input that makes it simple to connect from your computer. What this means is that you can view videos from your PC on the Samsung LN32B460 LCD HDTV.

With high dynamic contrast ratio, fast response time, built-in tuners, wide color enhancers, audio systems, and exterior design, the Samsung LN32B460 LCD HDTV will transform the way you watch your movies and TV programs by bringing them all to life. - 29967

What You Need to Know about HD Satellite Television

By Brian Stevens

Ever since high definition (HD) TV sets came on the market in the late 90's, high definition TV has been touted as the greatest thing since sliced bread - "Life like picture!" Vibrant colors!" "Three dimensional sound!"

But what is high definition satellite TV? Is it really all that great? And where can you get HD satellite TV service at the best price?

Let's find out ...

What is High Definition Satellite TV?

High definition satellite TV is a broadcast format that provides a higher resolution picture than over-the-air (analog) broadcasts and regular digital broadcasts, resulting in a clearer, more colorful picture.

Picture quality is measured in scan lines. The more scan lines a picture has, the clearer the picture. Analog TV has 525 scan lines per image, while HDTV has up to 1,080 lines per image - almost twice as many lines of resolution - giving you twice the clarity of analog TV.

What are the benefits of high definition satellite TV?

The benefits of high definition TV are:

* HDTV broadcasts are all digital so you get a clear picture without the ghosting or snow that you get with analog TV broadcasts.

* You get super-sharp images with more realistic colors than analog or regular digital satellite TV.

* HD programming is in 16:9 widescreen format, similar to that of a movie screen, giving you the feeling that you're part of the picture

* High definition programming is broadcast in Dolby Digital surround sound for a three-dimensional listening experience.

Where can I get high definition satellite TV?

The two major satellite TV providers - DISH Network and DIRECTV - offer high definiton programming packages.

DISH Network bundles its HDTV packages with regular digital programming packages. They offer four HDTV packages with prices starting at $29.99 per month for 30 HD channels and 75 regular digital channels.

DIRECTV offers its HD programming package as an add on. Their price is $9.99 for 8 HD channels.

(Click on the links below for more HD satellite TV programming information.)

What equipment do I need?

When you subscribe to their service, DISH Network and DIRECTV will give you a free satellite TV system consisting of a satellite dish and up to four receivers. Installation and instruction from your installer on how to use it is also free.

In order to get high definition reception you'll need a high definition receiver. DISH Network will give you a free HD receiver, and DIRECTV will give you a free HD receiver after a $99 mail-in rebate.

If you want to digitally record your favorite programs you can purchase a combination HD DVR (digital video recorder) receiver from either provider which will store up to 200 hours of programming.

In addition to a satellite dish and a high definition receiver, you'll also need an HD TV set.

So what's the bottom line?

The bottom line is you get a much better picture and better quality sound than you get with standard analog broadcasts, or even regular digital satellite TV broadcasts. So if you want the highest quality picture and sound, and are willing to spend a few extra dollars to get it, HDTV is for you. - 29967

Can Aaron Rodgers Lead the Green Bay Packers to the 2009 Playoffs?

By John Kaplan

After beating the Bears at home during week 1, things were looking good for the Green Bay Packers. Coming off of a disappointing (yet promising) 6-10 finish in the 2008 football season, the Green Bay Packers have higher hopes in 2009.

Aaron Rodgers continues to improve, and is legitimately one of the best quarterbacks in football. Greg Jennings is one of the best receivers in football, and veteran wide receiver Donald Driver isn't such a bad option at the position himself.

After a week one victory against a Bears team that has been hyped by many, the prospects for the Packers were good ones. The Bears have high expectations, especially after picking up Jay Cutler.

The NFC is really up for grabs and it would surprise a few if the Packers did go that far. The Packers will have to contend with the favored Minnesota Vikings and a "game" Chicago Bears team with Jay Cutler -- who will not be easy to beat.

With the exception of the Detroit Lions, the Packers will have to play their best if they expect to beat the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, who are just as good as the Packers.

The Packers have as good as a chance as any team to contend in the NFC in 09' - there are no dominant teams in this league and a team that gets on a hot streak can run the table. The Packers can definitely be the team to hit that hot streak.

Somehow, the Bengals managed to overcome the Packers, maintaining the lead for most of the game. Aaron Rodgers himself wasn't too bad (he didn't throw any interceptions), but Ryan Grant was weak at the running back position, and lost a key fumble that seriously hurt the Packers' chances of winning the game.

If Aaron Rogers is truly the heir apparent to Brett Favre he has a monumental task in front of him. While he can never be as great as Favre was, he can be Aaron Rogers and play to his abilities and strengths - however far that takes Green Bay remains a mystery so far. - 29967

0-2 Start For The Kansas City Chiefs

By Justin Martino

The Kansas City Chiefs entered the season with new hope, and with good reason. While the team shouldn't reasonably expect to make the playoffs in 2009, an improved set of players offensively and defensively should give the Chiefs a little more to strive for than in recent years.

The team has lost star tight end Tony Gonzalez, but some other additions drown this loss out a bit. It's never easy losing a hall of fame player.

Enter Matt Cassel, potential savior. Cassel did a tremendous job filling the void left by an injured Tom Brady in New England last season, and led the team to a 10-6 finish that, by all standards, should have brought them to the playoffs.

RB Larry Johnson is a fine player but is getting older and can't shoulder the load like he use to. Running backs that turn 30 typically see a decline in their abilities, which is understandable. Larry Johnson peaked in 06', with over 1,700 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns.

The Chiefs' defense ranks in the bottom of the league in every major statistical category. When you have QB Philip Rivers, RB Darren Sproles, RB LaDainian Tomlinson, TE Antonio Gates, and WR Vincent Jackson in your own division, it can make for a long season.

Matt Cassel suited up for the team's week 2 game, opting to play through his injury. While he wasn't 100%, he was an obvious improvement at the quarterback position and the team looked more efficient on offense. Still, they were unable to score enough points to overcome the Oakland Raiders, traditionally a weak team if recent history is any kind of indicator.

Still, there is no doubt that the Chiefs wanted to win their week 1 game, and the team's next three contests against the Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys might make this another difficult season in Kansas City.

If they can find a win over the next three weeks against the Eagles, Giants or Cowboys, it will give fans some hope for the near future. Besides hope, it will also build team chemistry in KC and give the players some confidence as well. - 29967

The Offensive Struggles of the 2009 Cleveland Browns

By Matthew Larkin

The Cleveland Browns are one of the oldest football franchises playing today, circa 1946. The Browns haven't had much to cheer about in 2008 and 09' isn't much better.

Looking at the cast of players in Cleveland, it doesn't seem like there's much for them to be too excited about either.

There was Brady Quinn, a young quarterback with a promising future, and Eric Mangini, who came over as the team's new head coach after being dismissed from New York.

After a 34-20 loss against the Vikings in week 1, things didn't look too much better for the Browns. Granted, the Vikings are a tough team with high expectations this season, but after a week 2 loss at Denver, the Browns look nearly as hopeless as they did in 2008.

The Cleveland Browns lost by 14 points to the Minnesota Vikings in their first game. While the Vikings are a team that may very well with the NFC north, the Browns were still hoping for a better outcome. The team's second game at Denver against the Broncos didn't fare much better.

Donte Stallworth would have provide Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson a target, Stallworth is suspended by the NFL for a DUI vehicular manslaughter incident in the off-season.

So maybe Denver really does have a good defense. Is it possible?

Let's put things into perspective for a second. During their last 8 games, the team has only scored a grand total of one touchdown. Even the Detroit Lions scored a touchdown each game last year. There's simply nothing going on in Cleveland, and this has to be the last team I'd want to be a fan of as far as future prospects go. - 29967

How Is A DVD Recorder Player Useful?

By Martha Mitchels

If you want to be able to record your favorite television shows, movies, or sports events and do not want to pay every month for a digital video recorder (DVR) service a DVD recorder player could be a solid investment for you.

Back in the age of VHS tapes recording was everywhere. Once the DVD format became the norm at-home television recording had disappeared and been forgotten by the average consumer. This was mainly because many DVD player models did not support recording and services like TiVo eventually became commonplace in many households. However, TiVo is not free, and neither is any other DVR service. Recording your own DVDs with a DVD recorder/player is about as free as you are legally able to get.

Finding one can be difficult, especially at department stores or even some electronics stores. Recording your own DVDs has a stigma surrounding it that VHS recording never quite received from film production and distributing companies. DVDs burst onto the scene as piracy really boomed -- and DVDs might have really contributed to the rise in piracy. Because of that, DVD recording is not something you hear about every day, even if you just want to record your home movies from VHS to DVD.

Several models of DVD recorder players are VHS and DVD compatible for the sole purpose of recording VHS movies onto DVD. This is very useful if you happen to have a sizable VHS collection or have recorded many home videos in the past that you would like to keep. VHS tapes do not last forever, mainly because the tape itself inside the casing deteriorates, but partially due to the fact that VHS players are outdated and are getting hard to find.

Almost all commercially available models that can both play and record DVDs are high quality, mostly due to the fact that they are a sort of niche item. Reputable manufacturers do make them and they can be found on a few internet shops and some electronics stores. These kinds of player/recorders are also getting more affordable with each year that passes, just like normal DVD. The difference is that they are often more expensive than standalone DVD players themselves. However, as Blu-Ray is now becoming the standard, DVD-RW and DVD-R discs are dropping in price.

As a one time investment, a high quality DVD recorder player is a good buy, especially if you want to be able to make a new copy of your old tapes or just save your favorite TV shows. They have their definite uses and they will stay on the market for a while, but finding one that is worth the money can be a headache. But a little inconvenience for a nifty feature can be worth it. - 29967

Digital Cable VS Satellite TV

By Nikky Alonso

Do you want to get more channels while saving money but not sure if you should go with digital cable or satellite TV? Then this article is meant directly for you! The commercials seen on TV and the ad's displayed all over the internet can be overwhelming at best. Below we will hope to help make your choice simplified for you!

Cost Difference between Digital Cable VS Satellite TV:

Most cable companies include local franchise fees along with local broadcasting fees on your monthly bill. Digital cable varies starting at $30-$40 per month and up depending on the package you choose it can go up as high as $90 per month.

While Satellite packages usually offer betters deals based on how much money is spent per channel. Some satellite companies offer a price point between of $25 for over fifty channels. With most satellite companies pricing may be a little higher per month unless committing to twelve months of programming up front. A twelve month satellite commitment will usually ensure lower cost up front and most even free installation of the satellite dish.

Programming differences between Digital Cable VS Satellite TV:

Most Satellite TV systems can support over 250 channels of programming. All channels are of digital quality. One downside is satellite offers less local channels and may not have local channels in some areas. Most satellite companies also offer HD TV services that are compatible to your satellite TV service.

Digital cable on the other hand can support over 300 channels of programming of digital quality. Digital Cable has more local channels available in most major cities. Most cable companies now offer Video on Demand (a library of movies and TV shows that you can order at your leisure). HDTV services are becoming more popular amongst cable companies now and not just thru satellite TV as in the past.

Difference of Equipment:

Satellite equipment typically includes a satellite dish that is installed outside the home that is visible to everyone. A satellite receiver is also essential per TV. Most satellite receivers today also come with a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) which the cable company has not yet been able to offer as of now. Most satellite companies run specials on free installation and equipment when you agree to a 12 month contract.

Digital cable also requires one receiver per TV but that is all the equipment needed. Should you disconnect your service the receivers will be turned into the cable company where as with Satellite TV you own the dish.

In closing:

In the end the prices are comparable but it depends on which system will best suit your television needs and what you are more comfortable with. Both Digital TV and Satellite TV both have their disadvantages and advantages, you make the call! - 29967

Will the Dallas Cowboys Finally Bring a Playoff Win Home in 2009?

By Alexander Regrand

This was perhaps the most anticipated game of the NFL football season thus far. The first ever regular season game in the new Cowboys Stadium, a mega dome for America's football team, and by association, America's stadium.

Tony Romo was appointed the next great quarterback prematurely perhaps - that doesn't excuse the rest of the team under performing over the years.

The Cowboys have a good quarter back in Tony Romo - who is prone to having a three interception game from time to time. Romo can make plays and has shown signs of a top quarter in the league.

After a nice week one win for the Cowboys in Tampa Bay, many doubts were answered regarding the Cowboys' ability to shoulder the loss of Terrell Owens and play effective football. Tony Romo looked phenomenal at quarterback, and the team clicked as a unit.

The Cowboys defense will need to improve because even with QB Tony Romo, RB Marion Barber, RB Felix Jones, TE Jason Witten, WR Patrick Crayton, and WR Roy E. Williams - they may not be able to out score opponents every single Sunday.

The Cowboys play in the very difficult NFC East with the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles - playing these teams twice a year will show how worthy the Cowboys are to contend in the NFC.

While the Cowboys stadium is nice and quite the spectacle, a nice stadium won't help a team win games - the Cowboys must do that themselves.

As long as Tony Romo can keep it together, the Dallas Cowboys can compete with any team in the NFL. - 29967

The Denver Broncos are Looking Special

By Victor Crain

Wow! After a disappointing 2008 campaign and one of the worst defensive performances around, the Broncos were looking pretty dreadful. On top of this, their star quarterback, Jay Cutler, demanded a trade, and their star wide receiver, Brandon Marshall, refused to play.

Swapping out Jay Cutler for Kyle Orton isn't exactly appealing, and neither is losing Brandon Marshall without anyone else to fill his void.

The Broncos entered the season with a head coach barely old enough to play the game himself, and somehow they've strung together a nice first two weeks of football.

It's true that the two teams they've played against so far have been pretty weak opponents. The Browns are a cupcake matchup, and the Bengals, even when an away game, would normally be considered a pretty easy opponent too. On the other hand, Cincy just stunned Packers fans with a win at Lambeau in week 2, so maybe the Bengals are better than people thought.

Maybe this team is better than people let on, and maybe the Broncos' win in Cincinnati was more difficult than people believed it to be. The Bengals looked pretty legit to me with Carson Palmer, Ochocinco and Cedric Benson running the offense.

The Browns offense is pretty bad, but the Bengals have always been strong as long as Carson Palmer's around. With Palmer back in the line up, it opens up a ton of room for their running game.

The team's 27-6 win against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday was highlighted by a franchise-high four sacks in one half by Elvis Dumervil.

Now that's serious. If Denver can keep this level of play up on defense, they're going to surprise a lot of fans. We all know that defense wins championships! - 29967

Viewing Live Sports With TV On PC

By Chris Bishop

It's well-documented that Americans are heavy users of the internet and that it has become the de facto source of information for the majority of them. Those surveyed would also pick internet over TV. Then again, Internet streaming video, virtually the sole alternative to traditional television, brings both. It already accounts for a quarter of total television viewership, dwarfing paid downloads, VOD (video on demand) and mobile viewing. Yes, Free TV on PC is on its way, big time!

Actually, Internet TV is nothing new. It's just that supporting infrastructure had not been in its favor in the early days. Conditions have advanced by heaps by now: broadband access, power PCs, super-sized storage and open hardware, software and networking. On top of it, internet user base volume has also long surpassed the critical mass level. The web is clearly rich for the picking by many an industry, not least Television.

There is currently a variety of online television most prominent of which are Internet TV (ITV), Internet Protocol TV (IPTV), Broadband TV and User Generated Content TV (UGC TV). Internet TV is the prime favorite as it's free and unrestricted in both access and distribution. IPTV is quality but generally fee-based or contracted while Broadband TV is too geeky for the larger audience and UGC TV programming (restricted to clips) are inherently never full-fledged TV.

The appeal of distributing television programming through the internet is unquestionable. Take Watch TV On Computer for instance. From the providers' standpoint, it's inexpensive, quick-to-market, has boundless reach and advertising revenue potential or is just simply good advertising itself. For the viewers, the benefits are even more clear-cut, with it being free of charge, global, extensive variety and the ultimate combo of the two greatest favorites, TV and Internet.

Having TV on PC is not only practical, it is also logical. Considering the occupation of time by each separately in modern lifestyle, it's arguably synergistic to have them in a two-in-one set-up. Not that the required infrastructure and other necessities are not already in place anyway, exception is a home nowadays in the first and developing world without a PC hooked up to broadband internet.

Internet TV is on a roll. Tons of Free TV On PC is readily found on any of the major search engines. The trick is to be able to search and zero in on those of your choice and interest. Viewers are prone to get lost amidst the abundance of free online programming but for some specialized software that are dedicated to gather the cream amongst them for your selection. These proprietary computer programs are not free but the right ones are well worth the money. - 29967

Green Screen Studio Planning

By Phil Guye

So you do not want to hire a green screen studio and instead you wish to make a studio yourself? That may be a very good idea and it might surely save you a lot of money in the long run especially if you plan on making films for a considerable time. Instead of phoning each studio you can, having your own green screen studio will enable you to use a green screen backdrop on caprice. In addition to that, you can use your own green screen studio to lease it so even if you're not busy with your own video production, other busy film production crews can reach you and use it. You can generate earnings even if you're not moving a muscle.

However, before you tear down a large portion of your house straight to build your own studio, there are a couple of things you've got to look after. You can't just decide one day that you need to make your own studio and then go ahead without planning. Possibly the most important in the construction of your own studio is the planning it would probably take to accomplish it.

Determine your studio area and the likely location for the cameras you will establish. Try to test the different shots that you will be making and for every shot, measure the total background area duty. This will give you a clear view of how large your Green Screen studio is going to be. After checking the background area, check if you can fit the lights outside the mandatory background area. Allow additional space so you can place your lights and other paraphernalia.

a new big challenge that you'll have to face is the selecting what material to use for the green screen. There's a lot of argument going on as to the right and best material to use for your green screen. You will find plenty of professional opinions that say the green must be just the right shade and if you get that wrong then it will fail its purpose.

Also that there's only a certain material that does the task of a green screen and using anything less will put a strain on your production. Most likely, it'll all be up to you and your budget. If you are going to follow a certain advice, ensure that it fits your position. If you do not wish to spend so much, there are possibilities that you can utilize. - 29967

Beautiful Chinese Paper Lanterns

By Cody Scholberg

Chinese use of paper lanterns dates back to 230 BC. They say hanging paper lanterns gives long life and good luck.

Chinese paper lanterns are commonly seen in China Town, creating an oriental feel to attract more business. A variety of different types of paper lantern were available even in the very early stages of history.

A wide variety of Paper Lanterns have been available throughout much of Chinese history. Paper lanterns could be hung in gardens, on porches or outside businesses, or even placed on the ground outside and inside, casting a dim light on either place to a perfect oriental mood.

The ?baby?s bottom? is one of the five types of paper lantern available. It can be used with Christmas lights and is one of the types that fits in better with the more modern decorations. "Rolling paper lanterns" are used to hang outside places like bars and restaurants. The round mid-sized red lantern is the most common lantern. You will see large amounts of these lanterns in red light districts as it used to be associated with brothels. ?Big red? and "tomato lights" are common synonyms for this type. There is also the "crystal magic lantern", which is made out of triangular or square panes made to look like crystals. "Buddha?s gastronomy" lanterns are very large and give out a lot of light. They are more commonly used outside temples or to illuminate festivals.

Bamboo and metal are used to build frames for the larger and more complex designs and they take a long time to finish. The tough paper which is used to cover the lantern saves it from being torn by rain or wind.

The simpler styles of paper lantern are easy to build and give a very trendy look to your home. This is the perfect choice to give that oriental touch you have been looking for to your living area. If you prefer to have home made decorations in your home, you can make them by yourself.

Chinese paper lanterns are a symbol of good luck and long life which softly illuminate your living area. Words such as peace, love and strength are commonly seen in Chinese lettering on these lanterns. Tan colours were most commonly used on lanterns in their early stages, but since they serve more as decoration nowadays they often sport very bold colours. - 29967

Making The Impossible Possible With The Green Screen!

By Phil Guye

Green screen is one of the most well liked techniques employed in the creation of films. How often have people been awed by the fantastic antics done by super heroes on the enormous screen? Many have wondered how heroes are able to jump from a tall building without getting hurt, or how a heroine or model is ready to travel to different nations in the blinking of an eye. Well, this will all be attained by shooting in a local studio with a green background and then inserting a background of any place of imagining a director wishes.

All this is formed possible with the help of green screen. An actor can go to worlds that she hasn't ever been, bringing with them situations and places that you've only dreamed of, which can be done with the technique of the green screen that is both convenient and cost reductive. This system is common on TV.

One of the finest examples where this system is used is in the weather forecast section in stories. The TV often presents someone standing in front of an animated world, talking about the diverse weather conditions around the globe as clouds and raindrops are conjured up on screen. In reality, there is simply a green screen present and later the animation is added to the background. This technique is followed by almost all the television networks.

This technique is simple, all someone needs is a camera, a green screen and video revising software. The person has to make sure that the color is the same through without even a tiny change in the shade. The surface must be even while taping or else it is going to be extraordinarily tough to edit that express segment. Another critical point while using this technique is that the subject should contain a small amount of the same green color. However, one must note that only a minute portion of the topic can be green or in similar shades. When the subject contains a little portion of green, one can hide or minimize the impact of the edges that might appear if the perimeters are uneven or not uniform. The part of the subject coloured in green must be minimal. Else, when it is edited it will seem like there is a hole or an empty space in the subject.

Once the green screen is erected, the next step is to shoot the subject. To achieve perfection using this strategy, the subject should have a well outlined outline as it is going to be simpler to trace and cut the subject out and superimpose it onto the new background. There shouldn't be any loose edges on the subject and the lighting must be absolutely perfect. The camera should target the subject and not on the background. This is very important as the subject may not look clear when it comes time for editing. This system gives the most satisfactory results when shot in the outside. - 29967

Renting a Green Screen LA

By Phil Guye

Shooting with Green screen LA is an inspiring experience that causes you to feel that you shouldn't even look beyond this technique ever. There are so many things to choose from that it it's possible that the director could think up of all sorts of new worlds and fantastical eventualities to put on screen because of the innovative opportunities that are available.

To begin with, if you're interested by shooting with a Green screen LA, you will have your choice of lofts. Both the apartments come to you with a large amount of appliances and services that are going to be available at a good and competitive rate. You may be sure that your eyeballs will not pop out of their sockets when you look at their price list card. If you're person who is terribly interested by using the facilities for over one day, then you can glance at the plans that they have scheduled and see whether you're able to order weeks or in a number of cases, even months to satisfy your movie making wants.

Lofts that hire out Green screen LA are supplied to technical crews and film directors with the added advantage of having a camera man attending. These lofts aren't owned by someone that has been learning stuff along the path. They are run by fully qualified people, experienced in all of the latest trends in lighting technology. They are well aware of the fact that there is each probability that a shoot might not turn out the predicted way, if the lighting is not looked after, as it should.

For example, if the director wants to have a complete green screen, which covers three walls in a room, he can have to think of corresponding lighting. He can't hope to have the minimum amount of lights with the green screen and hope the effect will be the same. Anyway, it is important for the technical crew and the director to work in perfect tandem with the technical folks at Green screen LA to get the specified effects in the shoot. For a common man it is one of the most nerve wracking experiences to stand around in a room and wait for a shoot to be carried out to its logical end. The reason being because many of us don't realize the sort of technical expertise and talent that go into a shoot.

Shooting at Green screen LA is also a pleasure for two other reasons too. You are reasonably close to other kinds of facilities like a restroom and cafe. So you don't have to fret about providing the catering for your crew or artistes when you're shooting at these apartments. Life is a lot easily manageable because everything is made open to you. This is the best location for your shoots that need to be exceptionally good. - 29967

Satellite Antenna for RV

By Will Treps

The first thing that you should know about RV satellite antennas is that there are three types: satellite radio antennas, satellite cable television antennas and satellite internet antennas. These antennas also come in portable models and affixed models, as well as regular and low profile models. You will want to select the RV satellite antenna that is right for your communication and entertainment needs.

The type of RV satellite antenna that you have, your service carrier and the type of satellite signal you are trying to pick up are all going to impact where you will be able to pick up a signal. Most satellite services will be accessible in the continental U.S., however, if you live in Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico or the Caribbean, then you may find that satellite cable, radio and internet services may be limited. However, recent updates in satellite technology make some satellite services available to anyone who has a clear view of the southern skies.

One of the satellite systems that you can select for your RV is the EchoStar Satellite Network. This network is what operates the Dish Network. It currently uses 14 different satellites with orbits ranging from 61 degrees West to 148 degrees West. This satellite network uses both Ku Band and Ka Band links, however, the Band that your satellite dish accesses will vary depending on what satellite your service is linked to and what cable satellite package you select. Your satellite dish model will also impact which satellite you will use to link to programming.

There are dozens of satellite dish antennas that you can buy. However, your choices are going to be limited to what antennas are designed to pick up the signals transmitted by your service provider. For example you will need a MotoSat portable antenna if you want to receive MotoSat mobile internet service while on the go, you will need a Sirium Micro Dot Low Profile Antenna or Sirius Magnetic Car antenna to pick up Sirius radio signals, or you will need a Winegard or King Dome satellite to pick up satellite TV signals.

When you are on the road you can feel detached from your family, friends and business. Fortunately you now have access to satellite internet and radio service. All you need to get connected is a service provider, a modem and a truck satellite antenna. Stay connected to the media sources of your choice with RV satellite antennas. Choose from satellite radio, satellite cable and satellite internet antennas. Understand your broadband internet satellite dish by learning about its components. - 29967

What Cables Do You Need?

By Jason Thomas

Hooking up a home theater system is a bit of a challenge unless you prepare yourself a little bit first. It can be a bit overwhelming if you haven't done it before. There are so many different kinds of cables and wires. These wires may not seem important, but they really can make a big difference.

When installing a HDTV you need to make sure you have the appropriate cables. If you use a coaxel cables, or the standard audio visual cables then your new HDTV will not really be high def. These high def cables are going to be a little more expensive then the regular cables, but if you are already investing in an HDTV it is worth the money for the cables.

The best type of cable you can purcahse for your high def television is an HDMI cable. HDMI cables transmit the picture and sound to your television through a digital signal, which is the only way to maintain a true high def quality. Again, if you are making the investment in a high definition television, a high def set top box, or even a Blu-ray player, it is worth it to invest in HDMI cables to connect the components. All of these devices are not only HDMI compatable, but HDMI is the recommended cable when installing the devices.

HDTV are becoming more and more common, and in the not so distant future every tv will be an HDTV. As you are installing your HDTV, and connecting the various components to the HDTV, you really should consider using HDMI cables. There are cheap cables that can be purchased, which may only cost you a few dollars, but the quality these cables provide will diminish your viewing experience. If you have the money, you should purchase the best cables you can, but if you are not ready to spend $100 or more on a cable, there are cables prices in between these two extremes that will do a very good job.

When making a purchase, no matter what it is, you get what you pay for. If you choose to purchase cheap cables then you will end up with a cheap picture and sound quality. You should research the cables you will need before you begin your set-up, and determine a budget for these cables. If you have the money, HDMI component cables are the way to go, but if you do not have enough money in your budget for HDMI cables, there are many medium grade cables that will produce a higher quality picture then the cheap cables. - 29967

The HD in HDTV stands for high definition. Everything that you will see on this internet based television will be delivered at the highest resolutions possible. There is no need to have to buy a fancy television to get HDTV all you need is a basic home computer.

The overwhelming expense of cable and satellite television is inadvertently going through the roof. Therefore, many people see the fact that they can now enjoy television from their computers extremely awesome. You don't have to spend a lot of money for an HD television set, and you can enjoy all of your favorite shows from your computers monitor. Many people have been able to cut down their monthly expenses immensely with the implementation of HDTV online.

People still want to be able to enjoy the shows that they avidly watch on television, yet they don't want to compromise utilizing their computer over watching television. Therefore, it was just a matter of time until the two were incorporated together to make like a lot simpler.

However, since the television is being offered on the internet, you need to do your best to avoid getting scammed by companies that promise you free viewing and then do not follow through with their agreement.

Before you ever commence in signing up for any HDTV service on the internet you need to ensure that the site is legitimate. Do not give away any of your personal information including your credit card information before you have carefully evaluated the site to test for its legitimacy.

You should look around the internet for reviews on the site that you wish to join as well as any bad ratings against the site. If the site is genuine you should always be led to a secured location when inputting any of your personal information. If you are not putting your information in over a secure server there is a chance that a third party could gain access to your information.

Why I Love Mariokart Wii

By Martin Bliss

One of the best games that I've ever played for the Nintendo Wii is Mario Kart Wii. This is an extremely fun, addicting game that just about anyone could learn to play and love.

I'm not joking when I say that my grandfather came over and played this game, and won his first race! It was on the easy level, but still, it goes to show just how easy it is to pick something up like this.

I love this video game for so many different reasons. Dating back to the original Mario Kart release in the early 90s, this game stays true to its original form and gives us so many of the elements we've grown to love. At the same time, it really masters its integration with the capabilities of the Wii.

The best part about this game is the Wii wheel. It's a wireless add-on that allows you to use your regular Wii remote to guide the car, just as you would with a typical steering wheel. You wouldn't believe how well it works.

As far as the levels on the game, they're all very challenging and a lot of fun. One of the best things to take advantage of in Mario Kart Wii is the online mode, which happens to be my personal favorite way to play the game.

This allows you to race against up to 11 other racers from all around the world, playing against them and earning points as you win, or losing them as you lose. As you could imagine, the pace is fast and the competition is fierce. I'm also a big fan of the ranking system.

The ranking system is great in the sense that it really lets you know how good you are compared to other people out there. This feeds right into my competitive spirit and makes things a lot of fun.

This is the best game I've ever bought for my Nintendo Wii, and possibly one of the best video games I've ever played. - 29967

Cheap TVs

By Marion Moon

Buying the cheapest TV isn't always easy but it's also not so hard. By checking with online retailers you may be able to come across one that fits your budget needs. The only thing is, many times when buying online things aren't always what they seem. Watch out for high shipping and handling fees, and hidden costs for accessories you don't want or need.

You can also watch for things like a TV stand. They may have one included with your TV that they're charging a couple of hundred dollars for, and that you can absolutely do without. Just because they have one that goes with that particular TV, doesn't mean that' the one you have to use. You can get your own, or may already have one of your own.

You'll find that most of your retailers for plasma TVs have dealers that they have 'authorized' to sell their TVs. When shopping online you can run into retailers who aren't 'authorized'. These retailers many times will offer better prices to entice people to deal with them. And if you do, and there are any problems with your set, you'll probably find that you have no-one to honor the warranty and fix your problem.

There have been many people who have ordered a TV online and waited and waited without ever receiving their merchandise. And they have practically NO recourse for getting their money back or ever seeing their TV. It's practically impossible to rectify a situation like this, so always be extra careful and really investigate who you plan to do business with online before turning loose of your money.

Another thing that makes it easier for finding a cheap TV is just being willing to settle for older models. Some of the older models, the CRTs especially, still put out a great picture and have years of good service left in them. They're being replaced by many with the new LCDs and Plasma TVs, and can be had for cheap, sometimes even for free.

If you're not too fussy, you can find TVs that are being replaced and grab the old ones. When you do your shopping, make sure of your budget, and your available space and viewing room, and your viewing style. You don't want to grab one just because it's cheap if it's too big or too small for the room it will be watched in. Make sure your TV is the proper fit before laying out the money.

Consider places like Best Buy and Sam's Club. At Sam's Club they slash the price heavily on TVs that have been refurbished. And they'll back it up by replacing it for nothing if it doesn't work. You can purchase a warranty and they will honor it. It's an excellent way to get a cheap TV and feel confident in your purchase.

Buying the cheapest TV isn't always easy but it's not beyond your reach either. Buying at the original price isn't necessary when there are retailers who are cutting the prices. And with so many new models coming out each year, it doesn't take long for some TVs to be considered 'old' and the price to go down. So with a little research and some looking around, you should be able to find a cheap TV that will give you good service over the next few years. - 29967

Illuminative Paper Lanterns

By Cody Scholberg

Decorative Paper lanterns are one of the main items used to illuminate many festival sites. Most people leave them permanently fixed in gardens and buildings in addition to other decorations.

Assembling Illuminative paper lanterns is very easy. In just a matter of 20 minutes, a lantern can be assembled and suspended. Paper lanterns are sold with a metal tool that is used to expand the lantern to the proper shape. A cord is needed to hang the lantern and is sold separately. Typically, 10 to 15-foot cords are available, for additional length, an extension cord is needed.

When you buy hanging paper lanterns, you can see that they are equipped with a metal tool for expanding the paper globe as well. The cord required to hang the lantern must be purchased separately. Since the cords normally come in 10 to 15-foot lengths, you may have to add an extension in the event you need more length.

Even though assembly is not difficult, be careful not to contact the sides of the lantern with the expander tool when widening the lamp. Additionally, collapsible wires are used to make the body of these lamps. This helps packaging and mailing lanterns so they can be kept flattened easily. To obtain the original shape of the lantern, the metal expander is needed.

The cord is attached once the lantern shape is widened. Place the cord up on the surface of the wall. Use hooks to fix the cord to the ceiling. Attaching the cord sometimes requires a suitable tape. However, hooks are more suitable than tape to install the cord. Install the bulb now. Since electric fixtures can ignite, keep enough space on both sides of the lanterns when attaching the bulb.

Many people use CFL bulbs in illuminative paper lanterns because they emit lower heat than incandescent bulbs. The bulbs should have appropriately low wattage to avoid the occurrences of fire. Switch on the light to see if all the operations work smoothly. Faulty installation may not produce the desired result some times. Re-install the bulb, if it is the case. - 29967
